Terms of Service

Last updated: June 4, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Post It (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Post It does

Post It lets you connect an Instagram account, generate captions and hashtags with AI, and publish photos, reels, carousels, and stories. We provide the tools; you are responsible for the content you create and publish.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) and able to form a binding contract. To publish, you need an Instagram Business or Creator account that you own or are authorized to manage.

4. Your account & security

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials and connected access secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You may disconnect your Instagram account at any time from within the app.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the images, videos, and text you upload or generate (“Your Content”). You grant Post It a limited license to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate the Service on your behalf — for example, hosting media so Instagram can fetch it, and sending an image and your prompt to our AI provider to generate a caption. We do not sell Your Content.

6. AI-generated content

Captions and hashtags are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, generic, or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI output before publishing. Nothing is posted to Instagram without an action you take.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to: publish content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, deceptive, or sexually exploitative; violate the rights of others; spam or post without authorization; attempt to breach security, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service; or use it in a way that violates Instagram’s or Meta’s terms and policies.

8. Instagram & third-party platforms

Your use of Instagram features is also governed by Meta’s and Instagram’s Platform Terms and policies. Post It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta or Instagram. Those platforms may change or restrict their APIs at any time, which may affect the Service.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (e.g. Meta/Instagram for publishing, Anthropic for AI, and our hosting and media-storage providers). Your use may be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or actions.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Post It and protected by law. These terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or to copy or resell the Service.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any post will succeed or reach any audience.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Post It will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends.

14. Changes to the Service or terms

We may modify the Service or these terms. For material changes we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of your place of business as the operator, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. (Replace with your chosen governing jurisdiction before launch.)

16. Contact
